Energy Solutions Limited (ESL) has been selected to participate in the Market Support and Capacity Building for Solar Companies initiative under the Energising Development (EnDev) Programme supported by GIZ.
Energy Solutions Limited (ESL) is pleased to announce its successful selection to participate in the Market Support and Capacity Building for Solar Companies initiative under the Energising Development (EnDev) Programme supported by GIZ.
Following this selection, EnDev supported ESL in conducting a solar energy marketing campaign at Chimbiya in Dedza District. The campaign focused on increasing awareness and adoption of affordable solar energy technologies among rural households and small businesses.
The support comes at an important time as ESL implements its 2026–2028 Business Plan, which aims to distribute over 3,000 Solar Home Systems (SHS) to underserved communities across Malawi funded from own ESL working capital.
The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to:
- Improved livelihoods for rural households
- Increased productivity and extended operating hours for local businesses
- Enhanced educational outcomes through lighting for children studying at night
- Improved communication and connectivity through mobile phone charging
- Expanded access to clean, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions
